2009 Schmitty Award Winner, Aubrey Meyer

Aubrey Meyer, through his exemplification of the Affinis’ values, has been awarded Affinis’ 2009 Schmitty Award.
This award, which is given annually, is named after our dear friend and former co-worker Dale Schmidtberger who passed away in 2003.

Aubrey’s nominations focused on excellence, servant leadership and teamwork. As a member of an Affinis and Harrington & Cortelyou surveying team, he was recognized for work on two Johnson County, MO bridges. H&C noted that the work was finished early and the MoDOT rating was the highest their company had ever received from the bridge office.

Recognized for his willingness to take charge and get things done, Aubrey was nominated specifically for planning arrangements for the Sustainability Lunch & Learn in LSMO. His final teamwork nomination for the Prairie Village field survey stated, “I’d also like to nominate him for awesomeness – because he just is.”  What a great testament to a person who personifies the spirit of the Schmitty Award.
