Affinis & MoDOT Celebrate New Interchange

Affinis and the Missouri Department of Transportation teamed together recently to host a ribbon cutting for our I-470 and Pryor Road project.

More than 130,000 vehicles drive travel this area daily and this project will reduce congestion and provide improved access to local roadway systems. This collaborative project required private, city, and state cooperation to accelerate the schedule for the improvements to this critical interchange.

The City and developer of a large shopping center created a Transportation Development District (TDD) to fund the city’s share of the improvements. The State of Missouri acquired Economic Development Funds for their share of the project, and administered the design contract and bidding.

Our Role:

  • Urban highway design
  • Maintaining traffic during construction
  • Traffic signals
  • Retaining walls
  • Utility coordination
  • Storm drainage
  • Right-of-way acquisition

Project Fast Facts:

  • 297,950 pounds of steel in bridge deck
  • 1,133 cubic yards of concrete in deck of bridge
