28th Terrace & Lee's Summit Road Intersection

City of Independence, Missouri

Our municipal streets team is currently designing improvements to the intersection of 28th Terrace and Lee's Summit Road in Independence. The design includes widening Lee's Summit Road from a 4-lane to a 5-lane arterial to adding left-turn lanes and adding a traffic signal. The intersection will be milled and overlaid, with new curb and gutter and sidewalk also constructed. Pedestrian signals, crosswalks and new ADA ramps are also part of the improvements.
