Traffic Signal Improvements

2005 and 2006 Program

Client: Kansas City, Missouri

The Capital Improvements Management Office (CIMO) asked Affinis to design signal upgrades at seven intersections. Five of the signals are federally funded using Surface Transportation Program (STP) funds and were completed in accordance with the policies of the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) Local Public Agency (LPA) manual. Affinis engineers used Kansas City’s GIS mapping rather than field survey for this project.  The design schedule was accelerated, completing design, reviews, and approvals in four months.
